Arctic Fox-Some nights you have to cross light years just to see dawn again.

Statement

The arctic fox was made as a special gift for a much loved friend upon giving birth to her baby girl.

It is a kind of self portrait, as I always said that when I die, I hope I will incarnate as an arctic fox and return to Iceland, a place I visited many years ago and felt a strong emotional attachment to.

The fox's tail is embroidered flowers which are part of Iceland's flora  such as the beautiful Lupine.
